The Department of Artificial Intelligence at MPSTME, NMIMS, stands as one of the school’s pioneering academic units. MPSTME is one of the pioneers to start the B Tech programme in Artificial Intelligence in 2020.
Our primary aim was to address the ever-evolving landscape of the Analytics, AI, and Information Technology Industry. Recognizing the disconnect between classroom learning and industry demands, we sought to bridge this gap effectively.

To focus on efforts to create a comprehensive curriculum to ensure multifaceted development of students to address challenges in application areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI) equipping them to become skilled AI professionals
To build a strong teaching and research environment fostering strong analytical and problem-solving skills to prepare students to excel in higher education, research, or technical/managerial roles
To promote project-based learning by providing opportunities to work on real-life challenging problems in areas of AI such as healthcare, education, agriculture, smart cities, infrastructure, and transportation through collaborative projects with industry and academia.
Within its purview, the department provides a comprehensive range of educational programmes, including undergraduate in Technology (B Tech AI) and technology management (MBA Tech AI). The department also offers doctoral programme in Engineering in the domain of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
