Profile
Prof. Anu Rao is an Assistant Professor in Operations and Analytics. She submitted her Ph.D. in Information Systems at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur. Her research investigates cybersecurity risk assessment, privacy, trust, and organizational resilience in emerging digital ecosystems, including smart cities, smart homes, and critical infrastructure. Beyond research, she possesses strong analytical and programming skills in Python, R, machine learning, text analytics, optimization, and quantitative modeling.
Her research has been published in ABDC/ABS indexed journals and presented at premier international conferences, including ICIS, AMCIS, ECIS, ICDMS, ICONIEA, INCIS, APORS Youth Forum, IASEAI, WIM, and others. She has received multiple international scholarships and fellowships from the Association for Information Systems (AIS), the Operations Research (OR) Society, and the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Society.
Additionally, through internships and industry-focused projects with organizations such as Mastercard, Deloitte, KPMG, General Electric, and Boston Consulting Group, she has gained practical exposure to business analytics, cybersecurity, digital technologies, and data-driven problem-solving.
