Dr. Upasana Sinha is an Assistant Professor in Business Communication. She holds a Ph.D. and M.Phil. in English from the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM), Dhanbad, where she was also awarded the Gold Medal for outstanding academic performance in her M.Phil. She completed her M.A. in English from Patna University.
Her teaching and research engage with the intersections of literature, culture, and communication. Her research has been published in internationally reputed journals indexed in Web of Science and Scopus. She has also presented her work at national and international academic conferences, including the Midwest Conference on Asian Affairs at Michigan State University, USA.
Dr. Sinha has taught at institutions such as Mithibai College of Arts, Mumbai, and Patna Women’s College. Her academic work reflects a sustained engagement with questions of identity, memory, cultural narratives, and communication in contemporary society.
In addition to her academic work, Dr. Sinha is also a singer, lyricist, and composer of independent Hindi music. Her original songs, including Kaa Se Kahoon and Ranjha Ki Heer, explore themes of longing, emotion, and storytelling, reflecting her broader interest in narrative and cultural expression.
